Term 3 Update!

Things have been very busy to start term 3 in room 8!
Last Friday we had the 100th day of school celebrations.
In the morning we did lots of counting to 100 by ones, twos, fives and tens.

We counted 100 fingers.

We count 100 toes.

After recess we split up into multi aged groups and rotated through different classrooms to do 3 different activities based around the number 100.
In room 8 we made towers with 100 matchsticks.

We had a picnic lunch with over 100 family members of Treendale students.
After lunch we made a human 100 on the oval. Check out the picture in the front office!
Then we did some fitness as a whole school with Mr Buckenara. We did different exercises for 100 seconds each.

We had a great day!

In room 8 we have been learning about adjectives. Our latest project is to create advertisements trying to sell old things from our museum to people in 2014. As a class we came up with a list of positive and negative adjectives to describe a pocket watch.

Then we talked about what sentences we could make using the positive adjectives that might make someone want to buy a pocket watch. Finally, we worked together to create a poster advertisement.

Next week, the students will be creating their own advertisements in groups of three. Stay tuned for the final products!
